Mask Testing
Fully automated positive and negative flow testing in under a minute. The Furness Controls Mask Tester is the ideal choice for manufacturers of a range of face mask types.
Measurement of back-pressure under regulated positive and negative flows
Preconfigure up to 300 products using combinations of test sequences
Large colour touchscreen for easy configuration
Electrical and pneumatic I/O. Industrial Comms and PC integration
As a crucial part of PPE, face masks must not only filter hazardous particulates and gases, they must also conform to strict standards on flow restriction, such as EN-149 and EN-14683.
These standards ensure that the masks are safe to wear and do not impinge too much on natural breathing, both during inhalation (vacuum) and exhalation (positive pressure). Based around the Furness Controls FCO792 Flow Tester, the mask testing station includes all of the advanced functions of this device, with automated sequences, flexible communications and full integration with jigs and other machinery.
No expensive tracer gases and no contamination with fluids
Results from testing with pressurised air directly relate to required leak rates for a range of fluids and gases
Our differential pressure decay leak detectors are sensitive down to leaks of only 1 cc/minute
Individual components can be flow tested at a range of pressures to assess flow restriction
Testing of relief valve activation pressure, and correct one-way valve operation
